Cut Through the Top Layer

The Font used in this tutorial is a ding called "boxed in"  

DOWNLOAD THIS FONT

 1) Open a new images 250 X 200.

 2) Add a new layer:Layer + new then click OK when the new layer box opens.

 3) Flood fill   the new layer the color you want.

 4) Click on the text tool and then use these settings:

Text boxed in size 72 antilias checked floating unchecked.

 5) Now go to selections + invert.  Go to selections again and then hit delete.

 6) Now click the deform tool and in large the frame until it looks like this.

7) Now click the select tool and make a rectangle around the frame then click inside the floating ants. This will make the ants run around the frame.

8) Now go to selections + save to alpha channel. Then click OK the OK again.

9) Now hit the delete key. This will clear the screen, now re-flood fill the layer.

10) Go to selections load from alpha channel, Then hit the delete key.

11) Now deselect the frame (go to selections deselect).

12) Now click the text tool (make sure you center the curser) then type your name or the name you want with these settings. antilias checked floating unchecked text of your choice and size it to fit inside the center of the frame. Then hit the delete key.

13)Go To images + effects + drop shadow with theses settings color = black opacity = 100 blur = 2.4 vertical = 2 horizontal = 4.

14) Now open a pattern that you want to fill the background with.

15) Now click on the layers pallet then click on the background tab. Then click on the flood fill and select pattern then click on options and select the pattern you opened. Then flood fill the layer.

16) Now click on the crop tool   and crop it to the size you want (try to make all the sides the same size).

Now You can stop here and buttonize it or do whatever you want or you can go a couple steps further.

17) Make your background color on the color pallet white, Then add a border (note: click OK on the screen that opens up, Its just saying its going to merge all layers). Use these settings symmetric and size 10.

18) Go to image plugin filters + Xenofex 1.0 + rounded rectangle and use these settings. Corner radius = 30, thickness percentage = 40, surface hardness = 88, highlight brightness = 65, highlight sharpness = 7, direction = 135, inclination = 45.
