The Calendar Tutorial

.

DOWNLOAD  you will find a grid to place your letters and numbers.

To use the grid open it in psp then copy and paste as new image, add a new layer then place your letters and numbers in the appropriate box's, then open your layers pallet and drag the grid to the garbage can. Then all you have left is your calendar. I made the one above using the grid in 20 min.

This is how it's done without the grid

1) Open a new image 450X300 transparent.

2) Make sure you have your rulers on, go to view and click on rulers.

3) Now starting at 75X25 add the letter S using your text tool, font type don't matter but size dose you don't want it to big I try to keep it inside the first 50 pix. And place the rest of the letters at 50 pix intervals as follows. This takes some time to do.

75X25, 125X25, 175X25, 225X25, 275X25, 325X25, 375X25

You get this

4) Now you need to place the numbers so get out a calendar, Now depending on the first day will depend on the placement of the first of the first number. So lets do February. The #1 will be placed at 175X75 and you will go along the same line until you hit the last S then you will drop down to 75X125 and go across that line. Here are all the placements and the # that goes there so you can follow along.

Note: Make your numbers a size or two smaller then the letters so you have room for the 2 digit numbers if you need to if your letters are small enough the numbers will be fine.

#1 175X75, #2 225X75, #3 275X75, #4 325X75, #5 375X75

#6 75X125, #7 125X125, #8 175X125, #9 225X125, #10 275X125

#11 325X125, #12 375X125, #13 75X175, #14 125X175, #15 175X175, #16 225X175, #17 275X175, #18 325X175, #19 375X175, #20 75X225, #21 125X225, #22 175X225, #23 225X225

#24 275X225, #25 325X225, #26 375X225, #27 75X275, #28 125X275, #29 175X275

As you can see this takes some time, So save a copy of this in psp format for later use, Then you can use the selection tool to move the numbers around for the different months. The only catch is if you want a different font.

5) Now minimize this and Open a new image 450X460 transparent.

6) Now fill this any way you want and decorate it any way you want just keep in mind that your going to add the days and numbers to the bottom, So you only have 160 pix at the top, And you might want to add the name of the month to the top the yr. is up to you.

7) Now click on the days and numbers and copy, then go back to the new image and past as new layer and move it to the bottom center.

8) Now merge all (flatten) resize if you want and save.
