Boomerang Tutorial
1) Open a new image 300X300 transparent 16 mil color.
2) Set the shape tool to circle, filled, antialias checked and create as vector checked. Now make a circle 200 pixels.
3) Now click one the vector object selection tool.
Then right click on the image and click node edit. (Nodes are little box's the you can move around just like regular editing but with more flexibility.) the shape will
disappear and become 4 squares on a circle.
4) Now what we want to do is move the node on the top all the way up to 250X0 then the bottom down to 250X300 then the left side one to 0X150 and the right side one to 100X150.
(To get the numbers right turn on your rulers if you
don't already have them on by going to view and clicking on rulers.)
5) Now go to your layers pallet and with the layer two highlighted right click and then click convert to raster.
Now you have a boomerang shape in what ever color your foreground color was what we want to do now is make it wood or fill it with a pattern or what ever you would like to do to it here is how I turned it to wood.
6) Click on the select tool then go to selection select all, then click inside the image this will select just the shape.
7) Now open a wood texture or go to step 7A. with the texture open click the flood fill tool set it at pattern then pick the wood texture you opened on the second tab. Then flood fill the shape.
7A) Go to image effects + sculpture and pick one of the wood textures like
mahogany set at 100, 13, 20, 0, 30, white, 315, 50 and 30.
8) Go to image effects inner bevel set at:
do this twice. Deselect.
